Nani was one of the Choices for Master:- Ilayathalapathy Vijay is all set to test his luck with Master which is high on expectations. Critically acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi is essaying the role of the lead antagonist and he has equal prominence along with Vijay in this mass entertainer. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Tollywood actor Nani and R Madhavan too are considered for the antagonist role in Master. The makers never approached Nani or Madhavan as Vijay Sethupathi gave his nod on the first attempt.

The film's writer Rathnakumar spoke about this during a recent interview. He said that the makers of Master considered Nani for the role but they never approached as the actor is busy with several Tollywood films and he would not sign a negative role at this point of time in his career. Master is an out and out mass and action entertainer that is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Malavika Mohanan is the leading lady and the film releases on January 13th in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
