After Bajirao Mastani, audiences have huge expectations on Sanjay leela Bansali's next movie.

Everyone is keen to know about his upcoming project 'Padmavati' where it was announced long back with Deepika Padukone as female lead. But later, its casting has been so tough that, many heroes were approached for role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, husband of Padmavati.

Right now, casting of main leads was confirmed with Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Earlier Sanjay's first choice for the lead male was SRK, but the latter's demand of 90 Cr remuneration left no choice to Sanjay, but to look for options.

As per reports, 'Shah Rukh who is busy with number of projects doubled his fee only to reject the role. Now he is one of the highest paid actors and his demand was too huge for the film and so that didn't happen'.

Bansali was literally surprised and out of words, when he heard about the huge remuneration demand, where SRK is being paid 50 crore per project right now and he doubled the same to accept this project. SRK has chosen smart way to reject this project without utter a single word,they say. It is heard that Shahid Kapoor signed the role for a pay of 10 Cr.
