Two months after she was caught by the police, for allegedly indulging in prostitution, the Nampally metropolitan sessions court on Wednesday issued orders to immediately release actress Shweta Basu Prasad from the rescue home. Shwetha's mother challenged the Lower Court's orders directing her to continue in the rescue home for the next six months.
The sessions court accepted the petition and passed the orders to release the national award winning actress. Before releasing, the court asked for a fresh report of Shwetha's stay in rescue home and as the officials gave no objection, the court said yes for release.
In the first week of September, Shweta was arrested in a five star hotel by police and send her to rescue home.
