In a new twist in the tale of Salman Khan's hit and run case, the Mumbai Police told the court that a original statements and documents related to the case are missing. On Thursday when the court assembled for the further proceedings in the case, the public prosecutor reported to the Judge that vital documents could not be found.
The Court was serious and upset with the Mumbai Police and summoned the former Investigation Officer [IO] to appear before it on September 12th. The Court also ordered the prosecutor to find the documents within a month of time. The police have 63 documents in relation with the hit and run case. Out of the 63, 7 documents are missing.
The Kick hero's car had run over a group of people sleeping on a pavement in Bandra, killing one person and injuring four others in an accident, twelve years ago. Salman was charged with a culpable homicide not amounting to murder that is liable for a 10-year sentence. The missing of documents came like a shock while the victims blame that the police have come to an understanding with Salman and are wantedly pretending as if the documents were lost.
