Two Telugu films recommended for Oscar race

The Telugu films producers' council have announced this year's recommendations for Oscars. Two Telugu films have been sent for consideration in the best foreign language film category. The Oscar screening committee will finally decide if any of these films will make it to the Oscars.
Tanikella Bharani's 'Mithunam' and 'Jagadguru Adishankara' have both received critical acclaim, though not commercially successful. Both film were appreciated and applauded for their superb writing and presentation.
Marking Tanikella Bharani's directorial debut, Mithunam is a novel-based message driven movie. Jagadguru Adishankar is also recommended for the International Film Federation of India awards under the Indian Panorama category. JK Bharavi, a well known writer, is behind Jagadguru Adishankara.
