The masala in the Prabhas starred Telugu movie Mirch directed by Koratala Ravi attracted John Abraham.  The success of the movie in Telugu made him more attractive to plan to cash in on it that made him buy the remake rights of the Mirchi.

John Abraham is going to produce the Mirchi remake in Hindi.  So far Salman Khan and Akshy Kumar benefited with the remakes of Telugu films and now John Abraham wants to check his luck in remakes.

Casting direction and technical support is yet to be decided.  

John Abraham already produced a movie Vickhy Donor that got him success and fame from critics.
