Renowned film maker and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee, Shyam Benegal has visited the film institute being run by Annapurna Studios.  The students at the film institute got a chance to interact with one of the legendary film makers. When the students asked Shyam Benegal to give them a message, Shyam Benegal has said that  a film maker should observe the world around him very carefully and notice the emotional changes when people talk.

Also, he has said that everyday should be a learning and stressed that one's lifetime would really not be sufficient to learn about the society. Also, he appreciated today's film makers who are taking up film making more professionally by entering into film institutes. Further, he said film making students should watch as many films as possible, discuss them, deconstruct and reconstruct the screenplay. It may be noted that Shyam Benegal received ANR Life Time Achievement Award.
