The film has crossed the 46 crores mark in the first two weeks of its release, claim trade circles, a record on its own. According to stats 'Naayak' bagged Rs 36.97 crores in the state, Rs 5.15 crores in Rest of India region and Rs 3.70 crores in Overseas markets. That is a record for the film released around the festive season.
Critics also claim that the star's whirlwind tour in a copter at a whopping cost of Rs 25 lakhs per day on Sunday has paid off. The two week schedule that ended on Tuesday saw fortunes at the ticket window. Now this trendsetting campaign might become a tradition to all big budget films.
