Sanjay Gadhvi is the man behind the first two installments of the racing and racy action movie, Dhoom who has declined to direct the third iteration even after the success of both the movies in the series. He said that the decision was a conscious one but he also expressed that he would miss out being a part of the team for Dhoom 3 which is currently shooting in Chicago with Aamir Khan.

The man replacing Sanjay Gadhvi as the director would be Vijay Krishna Acharya under the same banner of Yash Raj Films. While the shooting schedules are busy in Chicago, Gadhvi has taken to the promotions of his upcoming film Ajab Ghazab love.

"I will definitely miss being a part of 'Dhoom 3' as it is very close to my heart. There is so much warmth and affection related to it - whether its with Aditya Chopra or the cast. This is the film which gave me recognition," Gadhvi told talking to media.

"It was a consious decision to not direct 'Dhoom 3' as I didn't want to get stuck in making the same kind of cinema. I didn't want to go on doing the same thing again and again," he didn't fail to add.

He also wished the makers a bigger success than the first two in the series whilst taking pride in their decision for seeing potential in a movie he dragged to the shores of success.

"I like to take risks. All the films that I have made so far are different from one another. Rather than just being experimental, I try to focus more on the stratagem," he said talking about his new movie.
