The latest to hear on the film circuit for the upcoming multilingual hero RaNa is that his project with director Selvaraghavan has been shelved for the present as both of them are busy with their individual projects.
Selvaraghavan, who tasted success with ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ in Telugu and ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ in Tamil, had approached RaNa with a subject one year ago but RaNa had suggested some changes in the script after approving it in principle.
The director agreed and also held discussions with Bengali beauty Richa Gangopadhyay who reportedly agreed to play the female lead role. The project has been making news for the last one year but now it is said that they have agreed to shelve the venture for the time being. “They may take it up in future,” said sources close to RaNa.
RaNa now awaits his Bollywood movie ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and his second Telugu movie ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’. He has recently signed another Telugu project ‘Naa Ishtam’ featuring Genelia in the female lead role.
Selvaraghavan is also busy wrapping up his long pending project ‘Erandam Ulagam’ and is ready to take up ‘Vishwaroopam’ featuring Kamal Hassan and Sonakshi Sinha.
