Spotify Hits 1 Million Users In India In No Time:- Swedish based music streaming platform Spotify made its debut last week and the response is stupendous. Spotify crossed 1 million users and subscribers in less than a week, the company said in a statement today. "One week since its launch, Spotify now has more than one million Indian users, across both its Free and Premium tiers" said the spokesperson of Spotify. It turned out to be a stiff competition for services like Gaana, Apple, Saavn and Amazon Music, the company said in a statement.
What's so special with Spotify is that it has been offering four crore songs along with 300 crore playlists for music fans across India. Spotify app is available on mobile, desktop and for tablets. Users can download it for free and if one wishes to download the premium version, they should pay Rs 119. Spotify's music recommendation engine can be tuned to Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. Spotify is said to be dominating the music world with a huge range of songs available. Spotify is available across 79 markets globally and has 207 million users. 96 million people use Spotify premium subscriptions. Spotify is adding 30,000 new songs on regular basis.
