Royal Challengers Bangalore chances to make it for the play offs got tougher as they lost a crucial match against the Punjab Kings XI. David Miller and Sandeep Sharma made it easy for the Punjab Kings as they won the match by 32 runs.
Virat Kohli who loves to chase, won the toss and opted to field first. Punjab openers Sehwag and Mandeep Singh gave a storming start. However, both the openers failed again to convert their small score into a big and departed in quick succession. Maxwell came at first down and scored quick runs. But in search of huge hits, Maxwell was dismissed Chahal. It was David Miller who stood up and kept the Punjab scoreboard moving. Even though wickets are falling at the other end, Miller stood at the crease. In the end Punjab scored 198 runs by the end of overs.
Chasing RCB made very bad start. In the third over Sandeep Sharma dismissed dangerous Gayle and run machine Virat Kohli in two consecutive deliveries. From then, RCB batsmen struggled to score runs. AB de Villiers was the only hope for the RCB as he was smashing the ball allround the ground. But Balaji dismissed de Villiers and so the RCB lost the match by 32 runs.
Score details: Kings XI: 198/8, Miller 66, Sehwag 30, Chahal 2/23
RCB: 166/9, de Villiers 53, S Sharma 3/25
