Euro 2012 kicked off

It’s a great time for all football lovers across the globe at the much awaited Euro 2012 has kicked off on Friday in Warsaw. On the first day of Euro 2012, Poland took on Greece.  The second match on the first day was between Russia and Czech Republic.

A large number of people took part in the inaugural party that was thrown 24 hours before the whistle blew for the opening match. Live music was the main attraction in the party. As many as 16 countries are taking part in Euro 2012, which is organized by Poland and Ukraine.

The fan zone was opened wherein fans could see the game on the big screens installed over there without paying any money. This fan zone will remain opened till 1 AM on match days. It has got space for 1,00,000 people.

The football fans expressed their happiness that everything was so well organized. Fan zones were also set up in three other places in Poland where the events take place.
