Waugh turns philosophical on Sachin 100th 100

Now catch the former Oz Captain Steve Waugh turning philosophical and equally nostalgic over Sachin Tendulkar much awaited 100th 100. But was however confident about the master blaster breaking the 'Don Bradman jinx' by crossing the 100th 100 hurdle. He also added that even if the stalwart does not accomplish the task, he is still the greatest player of our times.

Speaking to media the former Cap drew parallels between both the great players Don Bradman and Sachin. He said failure to score 100th 100 could be compared to Don Bradman retiring at 99.94 averages.

"I think it's a huge statistic and India is obsessed by stats. The whole country wants him to get his one-hundredth 100 so maybe that's where the real pressure is coming from. It will be nice if he could get it down the road, but if he doesn't get it I certainly won't think any less of him as a player," news.com.au quoted Waugh, as saying. "He's a great player. You know Bradman wasn't meant to average 100, maybe Tendulkar is not meant to get a hundredth century. But I think he'll get it pretty shortly," he added.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
