India’s debutant women’s Kabaddi team won the gold medal today by defeating the Thailand team in the women’s Kabaddi finals of the Asian Games at Guangzhou in China.

India comfortably posted their victory by defeating Thailand 28-14. Earlier, Indian men’s kabaddi team also won the gold medal for the country for the sixth successive time by beating Iran 37-20.

With today’s gold medals in Kabaddi, India’s gold medals tally rose to 14.
