Telugu Titans Defeated Dabang Delhi KC 26-28

Despite the late counter attack by Dabang Delhi KC star raider Meraj Sheykh scoring eight points, Telugu Titans, riding on Rahul Chaudhary’s outstanding performance of scoring 16 points, managed to beat Daband Delhi KC in 41st match of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League 2016 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Telugu Titans are at the second spot with scoring 37 points in 6 wins off the total 11 and Dabang Delhi KC are at the bottom of the table with 20 points in three wins from 9 games in the points tally.

Both the teams managed to level the score at 3-3 after eight minutes due to the scoring of two star performers of the night, of both the teams, Rahul Chaudhary and Meraj Sheykh in the first half. However, Delhi got the crucial lead 4-3 as Saching Shingade kept aside Rahul Chaudhary. After ten minutes, it was a full Rahul Chaudhary-show from the Telugu Titans as he was the single player who was scoring back-to-back raid points for his team. However, he has got a tight competition from the other side as it was tough to get the lead for Titans. Delhi managed to level the game at 8-8 with the help of Kashling Adake’s two points. But the quick super raid from Rahul Chaudhary and a raid point after that gave an inch ahead to Titans as they lead 14-8 at the half time.

Later, at the 22nd minute Telugu Titans managed to score their first all out on Delhi resulting into Titans leading at 18-9. At one side Rahul Chaudhary was scoring tremendously and on the other hand, Delhi players were leaving no stones unturned for cutting the difference. In 33rd minute, Titans scored first super tackle of the game and took a huge lead of 28-18. Meraj Sheykh scored crucial points at the ending phase of the game. He scored Delhi’s first all out and few points to make the score 27-32 with less than five minutes to go for finishing the game. But Sheykh’s performance could not do enough as Titans successfully maintained their lead 36-28 in the end.
