In the recently revealed list by Auto Expo 2016 about the cars that are going to be launched in India this year, along with the new models, even several facelifts and model updates from a number of carmakers can be observed.
In that list, here are some popular cars, which are going to be introduced in this March.
1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Vitara Brezza was first unveiled by Maruti Suzuki India at the Auto Expo 2016. Though it is almost the same size as the Ford Eco Sport, the Vitara Brezza is more beefy, aggressive, and better in looking SUV compared to the EcoSport.
The car will be available only with the 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum of 88.5bhp and a peak toque of 200 Nm, that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Price: Between 6 Lakh to 9 Lakh
Competition: Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300
2. Renault Duster Facelift
The Renault Duster holds the tag of the compact SUVs creator in India. Now it is aiming to launch the first major facelift of the Duster in March.
Showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, the Duster facelift is based on the latest Brazilian-spec version. All-new AMT gearbox is the biggest addition in this car, which is one of the most expected features in SUV.
Along with that the Duster facelift comes with over 30 new features that have truly enhanced the style and premiumness of the SUV.
Price: Around 10 Lakh to 15 Lakh
Competition: Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano and Honda BR-V
3. Honda Amaze Facelift
Mechanically, the Honda Amaze facelift remains unchanged, but it is said that the engine have been tuned to offer better fuel efficiency.
Price: Around 5.5 Lakh to 9.5 Lakh
Launch: March 3
Competition: Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Figo Aspire and Tata Zest.
4. MINI Cooper S
As announced before, BMW-owned British carmaker MINI will launch two new cars to the Indian market - the MINI Cooper S Convertible and the Clubman.
The MINI Cooper convertible is the three-door open top version of the popular Cooper S. It comes with the same design and style cues and sports a new soft-top roof. Under the hood it packs the same 4-cylinder MINI Twin Power Turbo engine that churns out a maximum of 190bhp, while developing a peak torque of 280 Nm that does duty on the standard Cooper S. The engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.
Price: Around 40 Lakh to 50 Lakh
