IPL 2020 to have a New Title Sponsor:- In a major move, Vivo which happens to be the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) pulled out themselves from the 13th edition of the tournament which is planned to commence in the United Arab Emirates. The BCCI and IPL Governing Council refused to accept Vivo as the sponsor after the recent happenings. Indian government already banned 59 Chinese apps and the border issues between India, China made things murkier. Considering all the current developments and happenings, Vivo decided to opt-out of IPL 2020. They may sponsor IPL for the upcoming years but not this year. The officials of Vivo had a word with the officials of BCCI today. BCCI took a legal advice and they decided to stay away from controversies after which the decision was made. Vivo paid a whopping amount of Rs 2199 crores to retain the IPL sponsorship from 2017 to 2022. BCCI is expected to finalize the new title sponsor through the bidding process and they have received many requests. The Indian government was quick and took swift action by banning the Chinese apps after 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives in the Galwan valley attack. IPL 2020 will commence in September and will conclude on November 8th.

AP High Court Orders Stay On Three Capitals Bill:- With the Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan giving a positive nod for the three capital nod, the government of Andhra Pradesh felt that the capital shifting would be a smooth sail. A petition was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court which came for hearing today. The AP High Court issued a stay on the Gazette notification on the three capitals made by AP Government. Three petitions are filed recently and one of them came for hearing today. The High Court thoroughly went through the petition and issued a stay. The Andhra Pradesh High Court asked the AP Government to file a counter-petition at the earliest about the same. The petitioner said that it is not fair to take a call when the case is still pending in the court. The hearing is postponed to August 14th. The YSRCP Government is in plans to file a counter-petition at the earliest. The stay in the three capital bill will continue till August 14th. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was in plans to start the operations of the state from August 15th from the new executive capital Vizag but the plans are shelved. Indian-Origin Woman Killed While Jogging in the USA:- An Indian-origin woman researcher residing in the USA was killed when she was out for jogging. The incident took place in the USA and the cops initiated a homicide investigation on the crime. The victim was identified as Sarmistha Sen, a 43-year-old researcher who is based in Plano City, Texas. She was randomly attacked when she was jogging on August 1st near Chisholm Trail Park. Her mortal remains are located in the creek are near the Legacy Drive and Marchman Way. This is as per the reports from WFAA.com. Sarmistha Sen is a pharmacist and a researcher who studied molecular biology and the mother of two sons works with cancer patients. A person of interest was taken into custody on the charges of burglary. He was identified as 29-year-old Bakari Abiona Moncrief and he is currently in custody at the Collin County jail as per the reports. The cops said that someone broke at the same time when the murder took place on the 3400th block of Micheal Drive. Sarmistha Sen is also an athlete and she runs the popular Chisholm Trail every morning before her children woke up. Sarmistha Sen is a person with extreme positivity and connects well with anyone. AP Government Issues GO Over Financial Aid for the Kin of Coronavirus Victims:- The coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact across the Telugu states. Andhra Pradesh is the third worst-hit state in the country after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy decided to stand as financial support for the families of the coronavirus victims in the state. A Government Order (GO) was issued by the government of Andhra Pradesh and an amount of Rs 15,000 will be offered for the kin of the coronavirus victims for funeral expenses. Andhra Pradesh Special Principal Secretary for the Department of Health, Jawahar Reddy issued the GO. He even directed the Commissioner of Medical Health to release a fund of Rs 12 crores immediately so that they can be sent to the Collectors of all the districts. The State Finance Ministry also issued the orders to release the funds on immediate effect. The District Collectors were also instructed to offer Rs 5000 for all those who donated plasma. YS Jagan asked all the officials to bring up the awareness for the same. He ordered the officials to grant Rs 5000 as an incentive for those who are donating plasma in these tough times. The total number of coronavirus cases stands at 1,66,586 as per yesterday's report. The spread of coronavirus is huge in the state and the government is taking all the measures to curb coronavirus.

There are 5,86,298 active cases of coronavirus in the country currently. 803 people passed away in the past 24 hours in the country. A total number of 2,08,64,206 samples are tested in the country till date and 6,61,715 samples were tested on Monday. The officials of the World Health Organization (WHO) will hold a meeting with the Indian Health officials this week to analyze the status of coronavirus. Serum Institute of India (SII) got the permission to conduct the second and third phase of human trials of coronavirus in the country for the vaccine that is developed by Oxford University. The recovery rate in India rose to 66.3% which is highest till date and the fatality rate dips to 2.1%. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Karnataka are the worst hit states of the country. India will get more relaxations starting from tomorrow and the night curfew too will be lifted.
