Mastercard to Invest 1 Billion USD in India:- Mastercard has been in plans of massive investment in India through fintech startups. A lavish office is setup and Mastercard would operate from Hyderabad soon. Though much details are yet to be revealed, Mastercard is in plans to invest 1 billion USD in the country. Mastercard is in talks with Syntizen, a start-up based in Hyderabad which provides Aadhaar authentication services in the state. The investment through the start-up between 2019 and 2025 is said to be 1 billion USD.
Mastercard is already operating from Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune and Vadodara already. The jobs with the investment are expected to be doubled soon. Mastercard is also in plans to expand the business through the locations and investments in India. Out of the 1 billion USD investment, 300 million USD would be on setting up a full “on-soil” domestic transactions processing centre in and for India, at Pune. Several service hubs would be set up in the country with the other investment. All these hubs would work for authentication, safety and fraud prevention.
