Infosys Ltd on Friday announced that the search for the company's Chief Executive Officer [CEO] has begun. The current CEO and co-founder SD Shibulal will be retiring in January next year and so Infosys has started its search for new boss.

The company's Board of directors has appointed Egon Zehnder, an executive search firm, to assist the Nominations Committee in identifying an external slate of candidates and the Nominations Committee will shortlist and evaluate an internal slate of candidates.

Development Dimensions International will help the Nominations Committee in the screening process. Shibulal is expected to step in March 2015 but the reasons for his early exit are unknown.

Well, whoever may the next CEO of Infosys, he will be the first non-founder CEO of India's second largest Software service company.
