Home Minister Rajnath Singh conducted an surprise inspection at the Delhi City Zone headquarters and suspended a senior official and a sanitary supervisor  for not keeping the premises clean. Rajnath found out that North Delhi Municipal Corporation lacks cleanliness and the papers were scattered all over inside the office.

Along with Home Minister, Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and Police Commissioner B. S. Bassi, visited New Delhi railway station, Paharganj police station and Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash hospital. The Central Government has been making all efforts to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, one of the pet projects of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
