At least eleven people were burnt alive and 15 suffered burn injuries in a big explosion of a GAIL gas pipeline at Nagaram village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday morning. Those who suffered burns are being shifted to Amalapuram and Kakinada hospitals. The reasons for the accident are yet to be known while AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed his deputy to visit the accident site and provide support and an enquiry is also being ordered. The officials say that the toll may rise.
