After the release of Priyanka Chopra's latest single 'Exotic', she has received her share of compliments and comments. She has, until now, taken both in her stride. What happens when the comments go overboard?
Many said her song was overboard, but what about the comments those crosses limits. People have a lot to say. And they have taken the vast and anonymous platform of the internet to air their comments. Recently, Priyanka was accused of falsely acting like a pop star after simply imitating popular international celebrities. Some said her act as the exotic girl was put on deliberately and did not look natural. What everyone seems to agree upon is that, she has outshined rapper Pitbull in the video of Exotic. He seems to have no emotions while our sensuous Priyanka is doing all she can to look like Jennifer Lopez.
Comparisons aside, the Desi girl has recorded an album of her own and even collaborated with international artists. Confusing lyrics or no, she has gone a step ahead and went for her dreams. That’s the kind of example she sets. With determination and hard work, anyone can reach for the stars.
However, the recent death of her dear father was heart breaking. Although criticism is welcome, an unwanted comment from a netizen went too far. Someone showed their displeasure by saying Priyanka will not achieve anything by expressing love to a dead father. “He's dead and gone, you better shut up,” the spiteful comment said. Maybe that person is jealous of what Priyanka has achieved until now. She was like a son to her father and adored him. Everyone can learn a thing or two about family values from her. Besides, it hasn’t been that long since her father passed away. It’s commendable how she has picked herself up so quickly.
Love conquers all. Spewing venom on a virtual platform is not an effective way to make a point.
"Knowing Priyanka, she will not deter from being herself. It is her birthday on 18th July and a perfect excuse for more smiles. Happy Birthday Pee Cee!"
