Hyderabad beauty and former Miss World, Diana Hayden has said that casting couch exists in film industry. In fact, she even mentioned that asking se*** favours were not limited to just film industry but takes place in every other profession. These statements of her has drawn a lot of attention from critics and observers.
So far many film stars condemned casting couch and said they never experienced it. But, Diana Hayden joined the league of a very few bold personalities who admit that casting cough was rampant in film industry. Earlier, producer Mahesh Bhatt too said casting couch was common when Shakti Kapoor's incident came to light. It was known that Shakti Kapoor was caught in a sting operation wherein he purportedly asked for se**** favours for taking girls to top positions.
Mahesh Bhatt earlier said it would be naive if he said there was no casting couch. He said there were people who use their position for some gains but to blame entire industry was wrong.
Noted director Subhash Ghai too said: "These kinds of insane people (like Shakti Kapoor) with such shameful acts, do survive in every segment of the society including cinema." And now Diana Hayden too admitted it. She, however said she never faced such a situation.
