The fans of Aamir and Salman can now feel a bit relieved as Dhoom-3 was to get into an head on collision at the box office with Dabangg -2 for the Christmas. While the Salman starrer is going as planned to be released in Christmas, the Aamir starrer is going to take it a little longer and is postponed till 2013.

According to reports, it was postponed due to the production and post-production works. The shooting of the film Dhoom 3 will begin from the end of November in 2012. Producer Aditya Chopra and director Victor a.k.a Vijay Krishna Acharya have decided to delay the release after consulting with Aamir Khan. "While the shooting will finish in time, we expect the post-production to take much longer...did not want to compromise on the quality of the film just to meet the release date," said Victor.

He further said we are trying our best to give one of the finest cinematic experiences to our discerning audience and therefore did not want to compromise the quality of the film just to meet the release date.”

The Dhoom series which found to gel well at the box office has been sequelled for the third in the row with big names like Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. The fans will have to wait a little longer or else we would have had the opportunity to see who fared the best at the box office between the Khans, who were otherwise good friends.
