Little Free Library–A heaven for bookworms

Book worms, pack your lunch and head out to the Brigade road area, Mahatma Gandhi Road. You may find a book that you have been longing to read but haven't found it anywhere. Wait, that is not it. You get to read in a small secluded cabinet and for free. All you have to do is be a responsible person handling the book and you are good.

The Little Free Library, LFL, is the first of its kind library in the country. A small book case that is open 24x7 all round the year. This idea is volunteering idea for all book lovers. They are encouraged to set up a small cabin like structure outside their homes and leave some books for people to take while the people who use the facility can leave a few books so that they would be available for other book lovers to read.

The library is open to all people, no discrimination for age or sex. The only requirement is that you have to be a responsible bibiliophile. “Take a book, leave a book” policy is strongly encouraged.

The concept has already drawn many vistors borrowing books and also dropping a few back in return.

Fill up an online form at littlefreelibrary.org and you can set up your own LFL at your house, the wooden signboard will also reach your house soon. Pay a visit to the The Little Free Library as it awaits you at shop number 1 and 2, Brigade Cross Raod, opposite Harry's Pub.
