Kedarnath: A Hindu Shrine and a Tourism Spot:- Kedarnath is located in Northern Himalayas and can be reached through the trek. Most of them visiting this Hindu shrine are solo travelers. Kedarnath is sure one of the most toughest journeys to reach. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva is located on Garhwal Himalayan range near the river Mandakini in Uttarakhand. Kedarnath temple is open only between April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima) due to the extreme weather conditions in the other time. Kedarnath can be reached by a 16-kilometer trek from Gaurikund.

One should reach Haridwar first and you can reach Gaurikund on road which takes ten hours to reach. Most of them rent ponies or manchan to skip the trek. Most of the paths to Kedarnath look narrow and it is very difficult to walk up the heights. Completing 16-km trek and visiting Kedarnath temple is sure a dream come true and most of them turn emotional. One will forget the pain and will jump with joy after visiting Kedarnath temple. The number of travelers to Kedarnath temple are going high every year and it is now in the bucket list for many.
