They are known medically as leiomyomas or myomas. Most of the women with Uterine fibroids show no symptoms, others experience painful menstruation or heavy bleeding during their periods. A study said that 37.65 percent of the women living in rural regions of India and 25 percent of the women in urban regions have Uterine fibroids.
