Commonly Seen Symptoms In Menopausal Women:- A study confirmed that there would be a high chance of depression for women who are in their menopausal phase. The study also says that there is a great risk for it also in the post-menopausal phase. This would lead to anxiety and fear of death. The study has been published in Menopause, the journal of The North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Women are more prone to psychological problems after the decrease in the production of hormones during menopause. The problems include depression, irritability, nervousness, anxiety, memory problems, restlessness and lack of concentration, confidence along with loss of libido.
Due to this, the fear of death would be more in those women. Depression and anxiety are the most common psychological problems that take place during the menopause transition in women. Around 485 postmenopausal Turkish women aged between 35 and 78 years have been tested. The frequency of depressive symptoms have been recorded. They found that depression in postmenopausal women is a common and important health problem. 41% of the participants confirmed that they experienced depression in some form.
The researchers also identified that the risk of depression is more postmenopause. However, they did not confirm relationship between depression and the fear of death.
