One of the noted writers in Mexico, Carlos Fuentes passed away on Tuesday at a hospital due to prolonged illness. He was 83. Although the primary cause of the death was not revealed immediately, the sources said that Carlos had been suffering from a cardiac disease.
Carlos Fuentes has marked his name in bold in Spanish-speaking country. He was an well-known novelist who also taught literature at many universities such as Princeton University. He also received many awards and honours and his 80th birthday was celebrated officially in Mexico.
Many literature students at Princeton and other universities where Carlos taught broke into tears after getting to know that Carlos was no more. He was born on November in 1928 at Panama City. His death is deeply mourned among literature circles. (Phani)
