Telangana's New Policy For Citizens Abroad:- The Telangana government is keen to bring a new policy for the citizens of the state who are living abroad and are facing problems. The state's Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar conducted a review meeting about the same with the concerned officials of the state at BRKR Bhavan yesterday. Lakhs of people of Telangana migrated to various countries of the globe and most of them are residing in Gulf countries. Suggestions are accepted to resolve the issues and challenges faced by the people who are living abroad. All the suggestions would be presented to the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with KT Rama Rao, the Minister for NRI Affairs.

After their suggestions are sought, an appropriate policy will be developed and will be announced by the government of Telangana. Somesh Kumar says that KCR is committed for the welfare of the non-resident Telangana people. Some of them visited Kerala to study about the policies that are implemented by the government of Kerala for the people who are living abroad. A group of Gulf workers reached Hyderabad on foot and are protesting about the NRI policy in the state. Gulf Workers Awareness Centre is also in plans for a massive meeting in the state to mount pressure on the government of Telangana. GWAC President Krishna Donikeni demands a NRI policy with a budget of Rs 500 crores.
