Indians celebrate American I-Day

Indian organisations in United States have celebrated America's Independence day with their own culture, language and cuisine across the nation.  Two prominent organisations, American Telugu Assocation [ATA] and North America Telugu Association [NATA] are hosting three-day conventions  in Philadelphia and Atlanta respectively.

SP Balasubrahmanyam, Rajendra Prasad, Rana Daggubati, Shriya, Sunil, Sekhar Kammula and Tanikella Bharani and several singers will participate in this event and state, central cabinet ministers are also expected to attend. Miss America 2013, Nina Davuluri will be the chief guest of the event.

Special literary sessions are also being held in which reputed literary legends like Garikapati Narasimha Rao, Jonnavithula, film writer Ananth Sriram, poet Acharya K Venkata Reddy and writers Saradapurna Sonty and Satyam Upadrashta are touted to take part, added the organisers.  The attraction to the event is food where in Telangana, coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema dishes would be served.

Several other organisations such as Rajasthan Association of North America [RANA], Federation of Tamil sangams of North America [FeTNA], North America Bengali Conference [NABC], Federation of Kerala Associations in North America [FOKANA] are also hosting the annual conventions.
