An NRI who was booked on the charges of Sedition for a Facebook post and like was today given a clean chit by the cops as the court heard that his Facebook account contained no such material nor he had sent any message to anyone that shows disrespect to our national flag. It may be recalled that the police filed IPC Section 124 A (Sedition) against K H Muhammad Ali, a native of Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. He was working with Dubai municipality.

When the sedition case was booked against him last September, the accused challenged the case in the court. The court after hearing the arguments has heard that the accused was not found guilty of the offense and therefore he was given a clean chit by the police.

With Facebook coming under scanner by the policing, people should presumably be more careful before they comment or even like anything.
