The year 2012 has been a wonderful year for the talented actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, with movies like Kahaani, Gangs of Vasseypur ( the ground breaking role as Faisal Khan) and recently released Talaash, he has won much deserved both critic's and audience approval . Be it the dedicated IB officer role in Kahani, cynical gangster in Gangs of Vasseypur, his effortless portrayal made the characters come alive and remain extremely memorable. More over for all the good reasons his movies went on to become the highlight of many international film festivals.
Now, the actor who is in his own words “ not a hero material” , has been signed to play the lead role in veteran theater artist and SRK's long time mentor Barry John's directorial debut titled 'The End of Bandit Queen.' The film is based on the life of Sher Singh Rana who was accused of assassinating well-known dacait Phoolan Devi in 2001. Nawaz will be playing the lead role.
It's nice to see that Bollywood has started putting brilliant actors like Nawaz in the limelight instead of going the old eye-candy way where glamor is abundant but sadly acting is not..!
