Ami Thumi Story
Ami Thumi is the story of Gangadhar Rao (Thanikella Bharani) who is strictly against his daughter’s (Eesha) love story with Ananth (Adivi Sesh). He fixes her marriage with Sreechilipi (Vennela Kishore). The twist comes when Gangadhar’s son Vijay (Srinivas Avasarala) falls in love with his rival’s daughter Maaya (Aditi). Frustrated with his children, Gangadhar Rao locks his daughter inside a room and sends his son out. The rest of Ami Thumi is all about what happens next. Ami Thumi Analysis
Ami Thumi has no rocket science in but it is quite simple. The plot looks predictable but it is the interesting screenplay that drives the film forward. The entire first half has been entertaining throughout without a single song. The film looks passable with clean entertainment and the mistaken identity is the major concept that takes the film forward. The performances by all the lead actors are the major highlights of the film and the first half of Ami Thumi has its moments.
The first half of the film starts on a low note but the second half of the movie starts with a bang. The dose of entertainment and the situational comedy tops the show and Vennela Kishore is all set to make a massive impact with Ami Thumi. The tricky situations and the gripping screenplay are the major highlights of the second half. The pre-climax episodes make Ami Thumi an interesting drama and the film ends on a decent note.
Performance
Adivi Sesh is one actor who is not in a hurry and is thriving to sign interesting films. He has enough scope to perform and once again delivered out his best. Srinivas Avasarala has been flawless in an interesting role and is one among the major highlights. Vennela Kishore is the man one will not forget after watching Ami Thumi. He is hilarious and without him, Ami Thumi would not be possible. Thanikella Bharani, Eesha and Aditi stepped out with their best in the supporting roles. All the other actors too have been decent.
The story of Ami Thumi looks like it has nothing new. It is the screenplay and the dialogues that make the film impressive. The cinematography has been apt and makes the film look rich. The music and the background score make much impact and the production values look grand. Mohan Krishna Indraganti steps out with an interesting quirky comedy which will sure impress the multiplex audience.
