Guru Analysis
The first half of Guru has been interesting and impressive to the core. With lively and realistic episodes throughout, Guru has been presented as a perfect sports drama with right emotions throughout. The songs have been presented well however they lacked interesting tones. With some decent emotional sports drama and an interesting interval block, the first half of Guru has been decent and impressive.
The second half of Guru look too much emotional which slows down the film. Though some of the episodes look dragged, it is Venky and it his character that drive the film completely. The songs have been decent to be seen on screen. The most crucial emotional drama that need to make a massive impact fails to impress the audience. On the whole the second half of Guru has been just ok and lacks interesting drama.
Performance
Victory Venkatesh has been stupendous in his assigned role and he did it with utmost perfection. The way he has been showcased and the way he indulged himself into the role should be specially appreciated. He has been simply outstanding being sensible and tough. Ritika Singh has been completely impressive in her role and she strikes hard with her flawless performance. Nassar has been supportive and all the other actors have been apt and did with perfection.
The story of Guru looks ruggish and realistic to the core. The screenplay has been good enough and the dialogues have been apt. The music brings lot of Tamil flavor for the audience and the background score is nothing interesting. The songs have been shot well and presented well. The cinematography is one among the major highlights of the film and the production values looked lavish. Sudha Kongara Prasad fails to impress the audience completely as the film will sure appeal to only a section of audience.
Guru Final Word
Venkatesh tops the show and completely dominates the film with his stupendous performance in Guru which alone is not enough. Too much Tamil flavor makes Guru to appeal for a section of audience.
