Akira Analysis
The first half of Akira starts with a bang and it looks completely interesting and engaging. However because of the unwanted episodes the interest dips down and Sonakshi Sinha has been just ok in the assigned role. The dose of drama dominates the real scenes and on the whole the first half of Akira has been just ok and is not upto the mark.
The second half of the movie suffers in all the available ways to sustain and impress the audience. Though Sonakshi tries her bust to live up to the expectations, it is again the unwanted drama which happened to be the major reason for the film’s disappointment. The levels of entertainment have been completely down and the screenplay has been quite loose. On the whole the second half of Akira is a huge disappointment.
Performance
Sonakshi Sinha has been decent but she could not live up to the expectations. However she worked a lot on her looks and on her body language. She has been decent in the action episodes and Anurag Kashyap has been deadly as a baddie throughout. This will be his best performance till date and Konkana Sen Sharma shined in her small role. All the other actors have been decent with their assignments.
The story of Akira has been decent and interesting. However the screenplay has been hammered and it has not been taken enough care. The scope for music has been low for a film like Akira however the background score has been decent. The cinematography is one of the film’s major highlights and the production values have been grand. AR Murugadoss fails to re-create the magic in Bollywood with the film.
Akira Final Word
The film screenplay is week due to which it fails to impress the audience.
