Yet another Women Centric Film. Yet another Realistic Film. Yet another film that highlights the negative that is prevailing in the society. Jagapathi Babu – Charmi starrer ‘Nagaram Nidra Potunna Vela’, is similar to that of many real – action films. But, looks like, the Director of the film, Prem Raj, fails to inculcate what he actually wants to convey with this film. Here is the Review for you;

Story:The Story revolves around a Young Journalist Niharika (Charmi), who desires to cover a Dynamic Story that highlights the corruption, in today’s society. She titles her story as ‘Nagaram Nidra Potunna Vela’, and decides to explore the negative phase of the night life in the city. In this process, Niharika meets Shiva Ram Prasad (Jagapati Babu), who is aimless in his life, encounters culprit cops, prostitutes and even the politician who not even takes a bad step to kill common people in order to become a CM. she covers all these with her Pen Camera. Gundaas of that Politician, who come to know about Niharika are back of her, to kill her and let the negative side of the politician not come into picture.

Initially, Shiva Ram manages to save Niharika in many of the instances, but, at the end, Niharika is left on her own. How she manages to get out of all this and weather her story changes the society or not, have to be seen on Silver Screen.

Analysis:The film, as said earlier, is familiar to that of many films that are made highlighting the bad sting of the society. There is nothing so different even in the screenplay. The film appears to be very dragging and lacks that essence. The songs seem to be OK. There is no connectivity in terms of a take off of every sequences. A Journalist like Niharika, falling in Love with a Aim less Person, like Shiva Ram Prasad, based on a filthy incident, is definitely not convincing.

Performances:The Director, shows his immaturity, through the weak Script and Taking. Charmi’s performance seems to be ok, but, she fails to show the difference in playing the Character. Jagapathi Babu ends up playing a role that has not much of a importance. Other Star Cast in the film, do not live upto the expectations. During certain sequences, the film appears to be very boring. The story is much predictable.
