Mega Powerstar Ramcharan missed an opportunity to work with veteran filmmaker and director Mani Ratnam for OK Bangaram. The actor walked out of the project as he could not accommodate the dates. Now after a decent gap, the actor has been asked to be a part of his next film after which he gave his nod. Charan has been completely impressed with the script and he signed the film on spot. The film is expected to start rolling during the second half of this year once Charan will be relieved from the shoot of Sukumar’s movie.

Mani Ratnam too is busy with the post-production work of his next which has been titled Cheliya. Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari are the lead actors in this romantic saga and the film will hit the screens during April this year. Mani Ratnam is producing this movie on Madras Talkies banner. Charan signed his next in the direction of Sukumar and the film is said to be a romantic entertainer. Samantha is the female lead and the regular shoot of the film will start from March. Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll the project which will hit the screens during September this year.
