What's the fun behind the films being released 3 D?

Okay, I do understand what those films, that are in the very first attempt made in 3 D and entertain us...we are excited, enthusiastic and want to see that 3 D affect in films... the graphics and special effects, of course the genre of the film also matters if it has to be made in 3 D or not...

If flicks like 'Avatar' are released in 3 D, it is definitely worth watching, because this makes some sense... even the recent release of the veteran film ‘Titanic’ again in 3 D, did not attract much of the audience attention, though there was much of pre promotion done and hype given to this film... and we all know neither Shah Rukh Khan nor the 3 D affect given to ‘Ra.One’ could attract major set of audience to the theaters...

And now, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s flick, ‘Devdas’ starring Shah Rukh, Aishwarya and Madhuri is all set to once again strike the silver screen in 3 D… the film makers say, on the occasion of completing 10 years of its release ‘Devdas’ would be ‘entertaining’ the audience in 3D…

I understand this flick to be a film of its kind and many technical, music and the values of making the film itself being a bliss for the audience to watch… but what’s the fun in depicting ‘Devdas’ in 3 D? Just to create some hype or survive in the market???
