Varun Tej about Ghani's Debacle:- Mega Prince Varun Tej was focused on Ghani for almost two years. The actor lost weight, gained a six-pack look and a chiseled physique to play a boxer in Ghani. He went abroad and was trained under the supervision of the best boxers before he commenced the shoot of the sports drama. Ghani released on Friday and the film was declared as the biggest flop in Varun's career. The film was directed by Kiran Korrapati and Sidhu Mudda, Allu Bobby are the producers. The film collected close to Rs 3 crores in the opening weekend which never happened for Varun Tej in his career.

Varun Tej's official statement told "I feel extremely humbled by all the love and the affection you have showered upon me all these years. I thank each and everyone who was involved in the making of Ghani. You've put your heart and soul and I'm really thankful for that, especially to my Producers. We worked with real passion and hard work to deliver a good film to you, and somehow the ideation didn't translate as we thought it would. Every time I work on a film, my sole purpose is to entertain you. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I learn, but I will never stop working hard. Thank you".
