Uppena to be remade in Tamil:- Uppena is one small film that created a sensation all over. The film is made on a budget of Rs 24 crores and it marks the debut of Vaisshnav Tej, the brother of Sai Dharam Tej. Sukumar's protege Buchi Babu made his directorial debut with Uppena and the film released on Friday. The movie minted over Rs 33 crores in four days which is a new record in Telugu cinema. Vijay Sethupathi is the villain in this rustic romantic entertainer that is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Vijay Sethupathi acquired the Tamil remake rights of Uppena well in advance. The makers wanted to dub the film in Tamil but Vijay Sethupathi will remake the film now. Tamil Superstar Vijay's son Sanjay will make his acting debut with Uppena in Tamil. Vijay Sethupathi and Vijay are currently holding talks for the film. Sanjay is being trained before making his debut. Vijay Sethupathi will produce the film and the director of the film is yet to be finalized.
