Mahesh Babu Bags Dada Saheb Phalke Best Actor Award:- Yesterday evening, it was a star-studded affair in Hyderabad as the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke South Awards took place for the year 2019. The splendid event saw a slew of celebrities and some famous personalities from different walks of life.

Tollywood veteran actor Mohan Babu and Superstar Mahesh Babu bagged the prestigious lifetime achievement and best actor award for Bharat Ane Nenu respectively.

Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata shirodkar received the award on behalf of the actor. Directed by Koratla Siva, Bharat Ane Nenu is a 2018 political action drama about Bharat, a student who out of the blue becomes the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his attempts to reform politics.   

Also, Director Sukumar and music composer Devi Sri Prasad have been conferred with prestigious awards for their remarkable work in Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam. Payal Rajput has been given the best debut female award for RX100.

To mark the 150th birth anniversary of father of the Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, the team Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) for the first time honored and awarded the most talented from the south.
