Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar once again has proved that he is a man with kind heart. He has never hesitated to help those in need.
Recently, the actor heard about the death of 219 battalions killed in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district. He was in such a grief that he donated Rs 1.08 crore to the families of twelve CRPF jawans.
The jawans were killed when an armed Naxal group attacked a road opening party in the area’s Bheji village in Chhattisgarh on March 11.
The actor was in continuously in touch with IPS officer Amit Lodha, DIG of Jaisalmer sector north. The actor asked him to share the information about the encounter and the 'jawans’ kin. Akshay then donated Rs 9 lakh each to the families of the martyred jawans.
Touched by the sweet gesture of Akshay Kumar, DIG Lodha said, “Akshay himself has been in touch with me and he keeps enquiring about incidents and when I told him about the Sukma incident he immediately told me he would like to contribute and do his bit for the families of the martyred jawans, we are all grateful to him for this kind gesture.”
