As expected, after trimming few of the scenes in the film, Lion had a pick up in the weekend. Many of the critics opined that it might fetch much better results for Lion now.

As of now, the film has collected over 8.77 crores. Balayya is a B and C centers king and this is proved with these collections as the most of those collections are through these centers itself.

According to the trade estimates, the film is going to reach 11 crore by the end of the week. Though the pick up of the film is good, the trade estimates opined that it might not reach 'Legend' level of victory.
