Young and talented Ranbir Kapoor has scored many massive hits and is racing towards the position of next Superstar in Bollywood. His last outing Roy was a commercial failure and he is now coming up with his next movie Bombay Velvet which has been under shoot for some time. The movie has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and the film is set in the background of Mumbai in 1960s. The movie has been shot exclusively in Srilanka and Mumbai. The movie has completed shoot and the theatrical trailer of the film has been released today.

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma played the main leads in the movie and Karan Johar will be seen in a negative role in the film. The movie is based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables. The movie is about a boxer Johnny Balraj and an aspiring Jazz singer Rosie. Anurag Kashyap has taken his time to complete the movie and the whole unit of the film has been confident on the movie. The movie has been produced by Anurag Kashyap on Phantom Productions and Fox Star Studios banner. Bombay Velvet will complete all the formalities and will release on May 15th all over.
