The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation [BMC] has demolished the ramp outside Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow this morning. Last week, BMC served notice to SRK regarding the illegal construction of the ramp that was causing troubles to traffic as well as to the locals. However, no action was taken by the actor and no reply, explaining the reasons was delivered. So with the deadline ending, the BMC arrived at Mannat on Saturday morning and demolished the ramp.
Generally the ramp is used to park Shah Rukh's vanity van which is a quite heavy vehicle. The residents allege that the ramp is illegally constructed and it blocks the road that connects Mount Mary Church. Many attempts and appeals were made in the past but it was BJP MP Poonam Mahajan who took up the issue to the notice of BMC. Following the complaint by MP Poonam, Shah Rukh was served notice to demolish the ramp within a week time.
