Dhoom-3 collected a total of Rs.36.22 crore out of which Rs.33.42 crore from its Hindi versions and Rs.2.80 crore from Telugu and Tamil versions. The collection have broken the previous records of Chennai Express and Krrish-3 which includes holiday and non holiday opening collections. 

The cinema trade analysts say that it is as the biggest non-holiday opener ever.

Chennai Express which was released on Eid grossed an opening of Rs.33.12 crore and Krish -3 released on November 1 a non-holiday grossed Rs.25 crore. That way Dhoom-3 crossed both the movies that were released on holiday and non-holiday.

Although Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish-3 colleted less than Chennai Express on opening, it collected Rs.228.23 crore in the first 15 days whereas Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express collected Rs.226.70 crore and 3 Idiots collected Rs.202.57 crore.

Opening collections depend on the craze created but 15 days collections show the real worth of the movie.
