Yevadu bagged a brand marketing contract worth Rs.1.50 crore from a mobile network which is a record amount so far.
Marketing is a tricky thing for the corporate houses. Although they allot a hell of funds on advertisements, they segregate the medium of advertising in to Press, TV, Radio, Banners and others. It is not a new idea to advertise through Cinema. But usually they show reluctance as the product may not be shown in the movie to the required time. Sometimes you don’t find it in the movie unless you look for it.
To cash on this avenue, film makers have agreed to focus on the product for sufficient time so that the products for which money is paid by the manufacturers will be conspicuous on the screen.
The achievement is considered as a good start for Yevadu which is expected to make a number of records in the film industry and important one is the collections on which many things depend. But collecting Rs.1.50 crore before the film is released is certainly a good omen.
The manufacturers or service providers also hesitate to get into such agreements as the film’s success is something nobody can guarantee. But giving such a tall order by the Mobile service also shows the caliber of the movie Yevadu.
Yevadu is releasing on December 19. Ramcharan Tej, Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson are leading stars in the movie Yevadu directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju.
