The Rebel Star joining Bharatiya Janata Party has made ripples in the film industry. But it is the film actor and producer Krishnam Raju who is joining BJP. He met BJP President Rajnath Singh in the morning today.
Krishnam Raju who acted in 196 Telugu films in anti roles and lead roles became popular as “Rebel Star” as his style of acting was rebellious. His nephew hero Prabhas is called “Young Rebel Star” or sometimes “Rebel Star” in short that gave room to the confusion thinking that Prabhas is joining BJP.
After becoming active in politics Krishnam Raju joined BJP and was elected twice for the Parliament from Kakinada and Narasapur constituencies in 1999 and 2004. During that time he served as a State Minister for the Center for External Affairs.
He joined Praja Rajyam Party floated by Chiranjeevi in 2009 and contested from Rajahmundry and lost in the elctions to Undavalli Arun Kumar who contested from the Congress party. After that, he withdrew from active politics but now evidently got interested in politics again as he met Rajnath Singh.
